Ninety Days
12/2009
the steam from the shower
looks like glitter on the mirror
underneath holiday lights
and I wonder if you remember how long
ninety days was in the spring?
when we all waited, and waited, and
we held our collective breath, and
we watched, and
one moment we were crying, and
in the very next, we were in the streets
how quickly we forget
the imeasurable speed of time
and soon this too will seem
so far away
as to have never happened at all
